First of course, unwind, pour yourself a drink, and enjoy the lovely pool, garden, and your well-appointed suite.
If you are hungry after your travels there are lovely restaurants within walking distance suitable for breakfast lunch and dinner. If you are in a hurry or unimaginative, you can cross 1 minute across the street and enjoy some. KFC chicken. We promise we will not judge.
If you want to buy groceries, leave the car and walk up the street to the Walmart Express nearby. If you need some supplies, you should walk down the street to the roundabout and there you will find a 7-11.
On your way to the 7-11, you may be tempted to stop at Los Colorines De Cuernavaca.
This colorful restaurant has great traditional Mexican food and I can personally attest to its delicious food, suitable for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
They have great soups, you should try the caldo de habas, their beef ribs, and their enchiladas.
I also recommend Restaurant El Buen Comer. It is not as flashy or expensive but the food is terrific. I like to go there for breakfast.
If you go up the street, a little way, you will find the excellent chain, Don Pollo. I will not waste pretty words here, if you know the chain, you will want to stop here.
There is a Starbucks up the street of course, as well as many fine coffee shops and pizza shops. There are just two more restaurants I will point out.
There is an excellent seafood restaurant, El Velero De Tía Licha (The sailboat of Aunt Licha!) It so many ways to serve shrimp, including empanadas and soups. They also have blue crab tacos that are a delight.
Last, but not least is La Casa De Venado (The House of the Deer). They specialize in the cuisine of the Yucatan peninsula (Cancun for the Gringos) and it should surprise no one that they have excellent Deer tacos, delicious as well as everything else on their menu.
All of these suggestions are within a 5-minute walk of the Villa. There is plenty of fine dining in the city center, but I will leave those for another post.
